Philip L Tong
Philip Tong is the current Dean’s Fellow in Dermatology, a competitive and prestigious combined PhD-FACD dermatology training programme with Sydney Medical School and the Australasian College of Dermatologists. He is undertaking his investigative work at Centenary Institute under the supervision of Professor Wolfgang Weninger utilising cutting edge technology such as the multiphoton microscope to examine the immune system in the skin. Moreover, under the guidance of A/Prof Nikolas Haass, he has translated this technique to the study of elastin in normal and diseased human skin. He has recent publications in the British Journal of Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology, and Journal of Cutaneous Pathology as well as prize-winning oral presentations nationally and internationally.
